Prices and FAQ

How much are lessons and how long do they last?

Lessons are £50 per hour or £475 for a block of 10 hours.  Lessons are a minimum of 90 minutes in the early stages moving onto 2 hours

Which areas do you cover?

I cover Crediton and surrounding villages (Copplestone, Bow, Sandford, Cheriton Fitzpaine, Tedburn St Mary, Newton St Cyres, Cowley) + North West Exeter (Exwick, St Thomas, St David's, University and Exeter Central)

Do you have any availability?

My working days are Tuesday - Saturday. I work between 9am-5pm Tues- Fri and 9am-1pm on Saturday.  I am currently full, with a waiting list, for each weekday slot until January 2027 at the earliest and April 2027 for Saturday morning lessons. This is an estimate only and depends on my current student's progress.

I would encourage you to contact me by emailing Jacqui@creditondrivertraining.co.uk detailing your availability so I can give you an estimate.  The more dates/times you are available, the more likely it is that I can offer you lessons without waiting too long.

When should I take my Theory Test?

It is a requirement that to start lessons with me, you must have a valid Theory Test pass.

The booking system for practical tests is currently running around 6 months ahead so it is vitally important you start your practical lessons with a Theory pass so we can book your practical test as soon as you start.  Aside from that, the Theory is very interlinked with the practical side of driving and having a very good understanding of road signs and hazard perception is really important.

How many lessons will I need in order to pass my test?

The average number of lessons across the industry in order to be "test ready" is approx 44 hours plus private practice.  I have had students pass their test after 10 hours of lessons (who have had previous road experience) and others who require many more.  I taught one student who didn't have the opportunity to private practice and had no previous experience but she fully engaged in the learning process, watching videos daily and passed after 33 hours of tuition.

My aim is to help you become a safe and competent driver and to help you pass your test at the earliest opportunity when you have become a safe, competent driver independently.  You can achieve this much faster if you engage in learning outside of lessons (eg. watch suggested videos; reflect on each lesson; be proactive and curious; private practice).
